I AM NOT A DOMESTIC GODDESS let’s make that very clear but recently Reilly has started to like cooking, of all the things.  He loves to mix things up and put them in the oven, bit like me presentation is not the best and quantity always wins over quality in my house.

Anyway I was at a friends house the other day and he was cracking eggs into a bowl with Dave, I should point out Dave is quite famous for making cakes, he’s the cake maker to the stars at Symphony in Sugar and I did a lot of PR for them and met some fabulous peeps (random fact) so he knows what he’s doing, I on the other hand am only good at eating them.

For example Daves cakes:

I had Reilly after touching Duncan’s Helmets

Anyway when shopping on Sunday at Tesco Reilly insisted on putting eggs in the trolley so I knew it was coming. So tonight I have made gluten and dairy free pancakes with Reilly’s help of course and Reilly is actually eating them!  He gets particularly excited about them bring flipped.  I have only shot a very small portion of my cooker because the rest of the cooker still has noodles and various bits of quorn and carrot from a stir fry 2 nights ago.  I know, I’m busy!  Look at him interacting though!!

Will this be a new thing.  Will I become one of those Mam’s who do crafty cookery things?  Surely not!

I see them in the shops:

ooo shall we have Peppa pig cakes or Frozen ones today? oh let’s get both and do lots and give them to the neighbours.  I look at them like they are from another planet and wonder how they can put cakes in the oven without their child trying to remove them oven gloveless numerous times and wonder if they have matching Cath Kitson aprons and little hats.  Sometimes I even do a little jealous sneer and hope their timer doesn’t go off. Pathetic I am.

Tea today was brought to you by Tesco.  I look forward to sharing more Ramsey’s (Bolton) Kitchen Nightmares very soon 🙂
