It’s world sleep day!

Not something that’s celebrated in our house. Reilly sees it more as an option than a requirement 😂

Lack of sleep is an absolute killer. Literally.

Chronic lack of sleep is linked with higher risk of:

• Heart disease
• High blood pressure
• Stroke
• Type 2 diabetes
• Obesity

Yay for us, not.

People who sleep less than 6 hours per night are significantly more likely to catch infections, including colds.

Sleep helps the brain consolidate memories.
When you don’t sleep enough:

• It’s harder to learn new information
• Memory becomes less reliable
• Problem-solving ability drops

I’m menopausal I don’t need this 🥊

It changes hunger hormones. So lucky aren’t we. 👀

Long-term sleep deprivation can shorten lifespan. What every SEN parent wants to hear. NOTTTT.

All in all I salute my other no sleep comrades 🥱

On the plus side it has enabled me to watch approximately 100, 16 episode Korean dramas, write a book (almost) and actually get some work done.
